To help abandoned domestic rabbits by promoting spay and neuter, providing education on their care, volunteering in shelters and humane societies, and by fostering and rehabilitating rescued rabbits until such time as suitable permanent homes can be found.
We envision a day when public animal shelters in the County of Los Angeles are fully staffed with volunteers knowledgeable about house rabbits. Our volunteers will provide potential adopters with the information they need to make the best choice. With the added benefit of our off-site mobile adoptions, adoption rates will improve and return rates will decrease.
In addition, we hope to establish a spay/neuter fund for low-income families to help address the domestic rabbit overpopulation problem in the Los Angeles area
PetSave Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in June 2000 as a rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption resource for domestic rabbits. We provide rabbit spay and neuter, health, behavior, and general care information to the public. We also provide referrals to dog and cat rescue organizations as a public service.
PetSave Foundation was founded by Bona Tucker, who initially began her work in rabbit rescue as a volunteer for other organizations. In that capacity, she assisted with rounding up rabbits abandoned in streets and parks, fostered rescued rabbits, and set up tables at pet stores to educate people on responsible pet ownership, and the joys and possibilities of house rabbit companionship. In June 2000, she formed PetSave Foundation in order to more effectively care for the increasing number of rabbits that were being brought to her.

The Bunny Bunch was established in 1984 by Caroline Charland to help rabbits in need. We are a non profit, no kill rescue and education organization run entirely by volunteers. Over the years we have rescued thousands of rabbits, mostly from high kill shelters.
It is our goal to place Bunny Bunch rabbits into loving homes where they will spend the rest of their life in a happy, healthy, environment. We do this by helping people make the right choice about adopting a rabbit, by educating them about rabbits and their care, and what to expect when you have a rabbit living in your home as part of the family. We also stay up to date with the latest in health care for rabbits and work with many veterinarians across the United States and even in other countries. In December 2007 we opened our first adoption and education center in Montclair, California called the Burrow.
The Burrow is a safe haven for rabbits to live until they find their forever home. We always have lots of rabbits, chinchillas and guinea pigs waiting for homes. We have a classroom where we hold seminars and workshops for the public, teaching them all about rabbit care. We also offer programs to teach shelters, vet techs and even veterinarians about rabbit care and health.
